BRAIN WORKING RECURSIVE THERAPY
Catriona is an accredited Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) practitioner (Level 1).
She utilises BWRT to treat concerns relating to phobias, trauma, difficult emotions like anxiety, shame or guilt, grief and loss and social anxiety.
BWRT is a new approach in psychotherapy which focuses on creating new neural pathways in the brain. It is solution-focused, often resulting in rapid relief of psychological distress and discomfort. Our brain often associates a certain behaviour or experience to a particular emotional response. BWRT works to ‘upgrade’ our brain’s software, in order for a new emotional response to become the default. It seems that BWRT can help effect permanent change in a very short period of time – many clients only requiring 1-2 sessions.
